Model sailing site northyorkshire...maybe
« on: April 09, 2015, 05:45:27 pm »

Hi wonder if any one would be inerested in form a group to sail models at a local lake (scailing dam) I have arranged permision to sail but would be best if there was a few like minded fellow modeling folks.
I have contacted the manager and they would be will to allow a group to start sailing there..
Just a shot in the dark...

Will you have a designated area just for model sailing.
When the sailing club started I trailed my Albacore dinghy
up with a couple of others for a demonstration race.
Good place to sail with plenty of wind I recall.
Best wishes Pete I hope you can find a few kindred spirits
to sail with you, but a bit far for me.

I think as is we would have limits on certain days, due to sailing events ect(full size) ..
I'ts quite a big lake and as such would think we could have an area just for boats in the future,. Also would be sail and electric (not high speed)  <*< due to the lake being also part of a nature reserve.
Fingers crossed I can get a few interested as the local club at Redcar seems not to be running.  :((
