Hi
Just finished off the fire boat which was built from free plans which I downloaded from the KK EezeBilt Boat Kits website.
Believe it or not it was going to be the MTB but when I began to read through all the bits and pieces on the website, I caught eye on the Vosper - so I decided to have a go at this one, while we wait for paint to dry on my other model and get a bit more inspiration to carry on the build.
For anyone wishing to build this particular model from this website may I stress you read all the way through what Dodgie Geezer (the site organiser) has put on. Cos, as normal (a typical modeller) I started on the model before I read the instructions - and my first attempt ended up in the bin.
The best thing to do is to print off all the bits and pieces from the plans and rather than cut and paste them out onto the building material - is paste the cut out bits from the plans onto Cardboard so you can actually work out where the bits go/what you need. That was my first mistake - I pasted all the bits of plans onto the balsa wood and started cutting out.
The only thing Dodgy Geezer (if you are reading this) I would suggest - you know how Airfix type of kits have an 'exploded' plan view or where bits and pieces go together - that sort of drawing on your website - would be an ideal help.
I am powering the model with an 'old' MFA rocket 400 motor with a 7.4 volt battery and I am using a Graupner Regler Navy V15R speed controller. She has a 30 mm prop. The prop shaft is a 2 mm propshaft from hobbyshop off Ebay,.
