TIGER HULK.
« on: May 23, 2015, 04:43:29 pm »

With the Huey all finished and some last wiring finished off for a costume I cleared the workbench as I am away next week. But, with the wife with her sister roaming around Leeds I got bored  {-)  I didn't want to do anything too complex so out came a 1/72 Italeri Tiger, simple build and I went back to rusting O0 ...it had the full works. Actually, it is also a test bed for a larger scale model and something sunken so wanted to see the results. In this scale the rust colours look spot on but it is too lumpy.

Total build time, including the plinth: 4 hours.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.

Cheers Neil, appreciate it. The crustiness is out of scale, but it gave me a overall look that I wanted.

Yes, it does give it a bit of a cake look  :-)  . But as you say, on a larger scale model it should be good.

Agree, hopefully the 1/35 Sherman will look better...I hope.
