Years ago a friend did a run for a series, It was with Robbie Coltrane on aseries about trains, planes and cars Or something like that and it was the only a few seconds but it was in the opening credits so it was shown on all the episodes.

Anyhow he had a great time, up to Loch Lomond and they were to sail or fly their models.
The plan was to do it and I think they got £100 plus a buffet lunch.

So He had a typhoon submarine 1:100 scale dynamic diver so they asked him to sail it towards the camera diving as it went. The cameraman couldn't get the shot couldn't get the shot as he had to stop to not hit the camera. So they asked him to sail it again and RAM the camera stand as it went under!
After some discussions they offered him an obscene amount of money and he gladly accepted and duly rammed the camera broke it but there was no damage to his submarine but he duly walked away with a smile and a large cheque.

Also Robbie Coltrane was there and when they brought out the buffet lunch he sent it back and demanded the guys all got a proper meal so they ended  with a full 3 course lunch!!

Neil if you do go ahead and do it, you need to decide are you doing it for money or for a bit of fun and "bragging" rights at the club for an hour or so???
If it's money your on to plums.... If it's the other then go and enjoy it and have a laugh and see what it takes to get 2/3 minutes of your model on the TV

Oh, and be careful Mr Foote, you may be expected to contribute to the Chicken Barrieani (not the chicken part obviously)!  I didn't realise that Neil had turned cannibal!

Blimey, not only a great model builder, but now you have invented a new dish.....Must try one this weekend...

we were on a teachers night out in an Indian in High Wycombe many years ago and I had a very good mate called Barry..........someone on another table objected to our laughter as we'd also had a few of the falling down liquid, and he came over and picked up a bowl of rice off our table and tipped it over my mate Barry's head.

Another friend on the table quickly retorted..........I didn't know you'd ordered a  chicken barryani mate.............and we all fell about laughing, much to the chagrin of the other guy who had taken offence......................so it's an old one that I have for the past 30 odd years been just dying to use,

having done filming for the Beeb several times, be prepared to spend all day to get 3 minutes of film, Talking to one of the producers he reckoned if you got 1 minute of footage per hour of filming, you were doing exceptionally well.

Hello.
A number of years ago what was then Border Television asked our local Club would we take part in of what was going to be a series concerning peoples hobbies, they came to the Island and set up the film equipment, that was the official bit. From this time on they were what we will refer to as real people, they enjoyed the hobby as much as we did and had the greatest of pleasure in portraying our models as much as we had showing them, we all have some little thing in life that we admire and for someone to make an approach to you Neil shows life is not full of boring reality programs, we can all admire the skills handed down to through the medium of TV allowing the outside world a new look on skillful hands, I can say this because my Father was a proper watch maker, a modest man but unbelievable skill at his finger tips, not just a battery fitter as today, and it is something I will never forget as I sat and saw him build a watch from a pile of bits on his bench. Please let the wide world know when you are to make your appearance, I with a lot of other would like to see you enhance our hobbie with your knowledge.
Relax and let the world look over your shoulder.

well, it's funny you should say that carl.....the gentleman that I made the other set of moulds for the ferry for is a senior cameraman for the BBC Scotland.........I am sure he would be very impressed if I were to make a camera, lol
