Hi Jamie,
I know the "problem", with our six boats and a number of packs to be charged.
Here's how I "solved" it:
Previous to running my boats, I make sure all packs are charged (at home), usually the day before.
On "boatingday" the whole shebang is loaded in the car with an extra 12V lead acid battery (100Ah) and some chargers.
Once on the scene, prior to running the boats, the packs receive a booster charge, for better performance, with the charger (4A).
After the run the batteries are allowed to cool down while the whole circus starts again with the second set(s) of packs.
This allows us to run three heats with each boat during the day.
I got a couple of Gel-acid batteries, used in scootmobiles and such, these traction batteries are great for powering your charger on the waterfront, find a source that has "old" batteries, I got mine for a few bottles of softdrink...
Regards, Jan.
