Ayr Model Boat Club
« on: June 29, 2015, 08:48:35 am »

Many thanks to Ayr Model Boat Club for the warm welcome and generous hospitality at their open day yesterday, 28th June.

While the weather started out not of the best it brightened up and was a very pleasant relaxing day.

Congratulations on your pond repairs and happy sailing days for the future.

All the best
Sandy, Al, Allan, Murray, Robert, Brian, Ian and Eddie from GRMBC

As usual, I had my camera, but, as usual, having so much fun sailing it never came out.

Several other folk were taking photos so hopefully someone will post.

A very nice pond. Shallow and clean ... just as well as GRMBC had a 'sinking'  :embarrassed:

A good sized island to sail round too.

I have vague memory that they ran passenger carrying two seat petrol powered pleasure boats on that pond. 1950 or 60s. Anybody confirm or was I somewhere else ? {:-{ {:-{ {:-{ :embarrassed:
