Gentlemen...you may or may not know that Ron Perrott, aka R&R Model Engineering are back in business, so in keeping with today's modern technology, Ron is having a website built. Please feel free to go take a look, and pass any comments on it back to me, I'd value your input and so would Ron.

Bear in mind though, that it's still under construction, and I'll be adding things to it all the time.

Nice site Richard and Ron. Although I personally think the typhoon firing torpedos should have a different theme tune. You know the one from HRO

Thanks Pete, much appreciated. I'm going up to Ron's soon to take the Akula to him, he's going to install a twin piston tank module and the torpedoes in it. I'll give you a shout nearer the time, maybe meet up for a pint?

Also there are no subs only a "chariot" two man torpedo listed on "mountfleet"

Also correct, Adam is in the process of repairing the moulds, and he will be listing them on his site as soon as they are done.

Ron isn't producing submarine hulls, at least not at present, he's making the bits to go inside, and the system can be adapted for pretty much any size sub you might have in mind, although very small or very large boats might be outside the size of modules he produces.

Generally I reckon the current range is ideal for boats of three to eight feet in length.

Larger boats can be fitted out with Ron's modules by doubling up on them...that's how Mick Higgott's Typhoon was built.

That'll work for funny shaped boats like a Typhoon, with a very broad hull, but as most boats are cylindrical shaped, packaging could be a problem.

As such there's a pretty wide range of hulls these modules will be well suited to.

You might want to add the diameter of the modules produced. I believe Ron does both 10mm and also 90mm with the piston tanks, and an 80mm with the water pump system?

That should have read 100mm not, 10mm. 10mm would be a very small cylinder indeed!
