Hi all,due to bugs in the large lake at Verulam Park the round the pole racing will not take place this coming weekend.  Apparently there is fear that the boats running in the lake could bring back the bugs to hotels where those from abroad would be staying.  These events are on the Saturday and the Monday.

The Straight running events on the Sunday are still taking place.  Anyone taking part is advised to bring water to wash down their boats as a precaution against inadvertantly spreading the contamination.

I've not heard anything about 'bugs' and contamination - what's going on?

Is it safe to take model boats to the small boating lake?

Hi Plastic ,it was mentioned at the last club evening.  I can't remember what the diagnosed problem is but bugs covers it.
