I am so so sorry to inform this forum of the shocking passing of my best mate Mr John Hughes of Ellesmere Port model boat club John was the driving force of the club for many years he will be sorely missed

That is truly sad news. 


Events will never seem the same again without John's knowledge, experience and above all humour.

I have known John form many years and it is with great shock to hear of his passing .  John was  an inspirational character  as well as a friend   and always put his heart and soul into the projects  he was involved in ,   my sympathy   and condolences to his family .

This is truly sad and shocking news.

John always made us welcome at the Ellesmere show.

I shell miss the light-hearted banter.

Sad sad news.


john was a great mentor to us amatuer tuggies. He had the time, patience and would give all the advice you needed to guide you around the course

I had the joy of sailing with john.


John you will be missed....RIP

For anyone interested in paying there respects at John's funeral it will be on the 1st of September at Blacon crematorium 10am post code for sat navigation is ch1 5bb I know of a few who will want to attend
