Telford International IPMS
« on: November 04, 2015, 11:13:14 am »

Just a reminder  over this weekend is the Telford IPMS  International .  Well worth a visit  with  a huge variety of clubs , models and vendors from all over the globe. It's  occupies  four large halls and you really do need two days just to see the models.
Just one of many scratch built models on display

Just a few more shots from last year's Telford International .  It's hard to say how many traders but its  in the hundreds as for the number of models ,  off the scale . It's a different show to the  model boats shows but  very enjoyable .

It is  not  unusual at Telford for  some of the  1:1 scale to be on show , even the RN flew in one of their  Lynx helicopters  and the French brought  in an AMX main battle tank .

Hi John  yes  it would be better much better if these two excellent shows where on different dates .  Some try to fit in both shows but need a week to recover.

Thats the one Martin.Well worth a visit.Mind boggling standard of modelling techniques.Pick up some usefull bits and bobs from traders us boaters don't normally see.I try and do Warwick Friday and Telford Sunday.A guy the other year had a fantastic range of card model ships and boats for a winter project in front of the tv.

The imagination on how to present models is just amazing , this model of   the Flower Class Corvette HMCS Agassiz by Barry Sharman  is but one example .
