It is so cold here today that ........

I have had to salt our bathroom.
 

Oh yes, and the wife has swapped her Hoover for a snow-blower.

It is so cold here today that ...........

Since early this morning the snow has been nearly waist high and is still falling.
The temperature is dropping way below zero and the north wind is increasing to near gale force.
My  wife has done nothing all day but look through the kitchen window and just stare with tears running down her face.
If it gets much worse, I may have to let her in.

A few years back, about this time of year, I set off from Paphos with the temperature at 32°C, got off the plane in Manchester, 32°F. 
Did a bit of tobogganing on Olympus the following March.  I was on the F952 at the time (just below the ski runs) and still inside the hire car.

It was so cold here last night that our cat climbed into the freezer to get warm.

This morning, two Yetis were spotted swimming on our pond.

Huh ! Two wild Haggis climbed the fence to skate on our pond last night !   Gontae get caulder the nicht though.

Lovely part of Scotland. I have stayed there twice on trips around Scotland.

My rather dim uncle was told to wear "white at night" to be seen on the roads without a footpath.
So he wore white cap,white sweater and trousers, and just to be safer he bought white trainers.
First time he went for a walk he got killed by a snow-plough!
