Bismarck - motor rotation?
« on: November 26, 2015, 11:57:46 am »

hi guys Im new to scale and electric powered boats used to run ic 30 yrs ago sorry for mentioning ic so on with my question a family member has given me a 6 foot long built but never completed model of the Bismarck it has three props shafts fitted all motors removed not by me I have now fitted three 70 wound motors to give good scale speed I then fitted three 40mm brass props from rear of boat they will turn same direction as real thing which was left hand prop anti clockwise centre prop anti clockwise and right hand prop clockwise but im sorry if im going on just trying to give all info to everyone can I just run these from motors all running same way or do I have to run one or more backwards as it were because of the props being all not identical in rotation any help would be great I am thinking of fitting an Action board that will that turns props backwards with rudder movement but its only a thought any help would  be greatly appreciated as im back into our hobby after a long rest and going down scale and electric route thanks again.

The Left hand prop will need to rotate in the opposite direction to the Right-hand props.
All the wiring is the same except the motor wires on the Left hand prop will be reversed.

I've not used a 3-prop solution with mixed rudder control so I can't comment on that bit.

I think you may have to suck it and see! Connect everything up and then just swap over the motor wires an any of the props which are turning in the wrong direction.
