THE DERELICT

Here is the finished project build of a derelict deep space exploration ship.


BACKSTORY

NAME: E.S SURVEYOR.

CLASS: SOLAR SYSTEM EXPLORATION.

BUILT: 2089 LUNAR ORBIT ASSEMBLY YARD.
COMMISION DATE: 2096 WITH TRIALS AND SHAKEDOWN OVER TWO YEARS.
MISSION DATE: COMMENCED 2098.

CREW: 1700 ENLISTED INCLUDING SCIENTISTS/300 OFFICERS.

ENGINE: ONE COLD FUSION TY-89 PRODUCING 2,500,000 LBSF USING A SLOW REACTIVE BURN EMISSION SYSTEM TO GENERATE THE PUSH AND MAINTAIN SPEED. FRONT BRAKING ENGINES USING CHANNELLED EMISSIONS FROM THE SAME ENGINE. VARIOUS RCS DOTTED AROUND PORT AND STARBOARD.


MISSION: TO LEAVE LUNAR ORBIT AND HEAD OUT ON A 30 YEAR PLAN TO INNER AND OUTER PLANETS COLLECT DATA AND TO LAND SCIENTIFIC EQUIPMENT AND PERSONAL TO CERTAIN PLANETS.

FATE: CONTACT LOST AFTER 16 YEARS, LAST KNOWN POSITION NEAR JUPITER STATION 5 RELAY SATELLITE-NO VISUALS OR SIGNALS-PRESUMED LOST.


































This is all scratch made from plastic and old model kit bits.

It looks like it either met with a small asteroid or maybe even more evilly sinister, it was boarded by an unknown lifeform and infested!!!!

I like a bit of sci-fi as it allows a little artisitic liscense! Lovely job Eddie.

Glad you like it mate, all scratch made from various plastic and spare model parts. Had fun with this, just took my time and did an hour now and again.

LOL, I know what you mean regarding the sound effects.


Nope, this baby is dead in space, just a drifting hulk...bit like my boats used to be for that matter. {-)
