I need a model Severn or Arun!
« on: January 07, 2016, 05:55:43 pm »

Good Evening everyone, well as I said in my first post I was a member many years ago, I have had several aritcle published in model making magazines over the last 15 years or so, I have made several scale model Lifeboats, so of which have been featured, I then went on to own a 1.1 scale Arun, yes really the full size real thing, 8 years as owner and operator, I have been crew on these and still crew now on a Severn, so yes I have the badge, video and shirt, Many of you may have even met me at one or two of the model shows around the UK several years ago?

I am now looking to make a cumback to the hobby, but not building as I dont have time currently to start, so with that in mind I am looking for a Severn or Arun class 1;12 this time not the real thing lol, I dont mind if it needs finishing or some repair. I have served and still serve as crew, have beeing for most of the last 20 years or so in some capacity, my own  (full size) Arun completed several real life "shouts" around the country with me at the helm at more than one occassion.

I hope this brief re-introduction is ok and I hope to catch up with some of you in 2016 at events around the UK, If you need anyone to talk at an event about Aruns, just get in touch.

Best regards  Andy Iannetta, Ex Owner of Mabel Alice 52-24  The Ex Penlee Lifeboat. :-))

Monday Night is Buckie night
In the early sixties Monday night
was the dancing in the Fishermens  Hall
We used to come down from HMS Fulmar
at Lossiemouth.
Some great memories.
