Robbe U47 brass prop size
« on: March 24, 2016, 02:23:09 pm »

Hello all,

I've just completed a Robbe U47 Submarine and i'm looking to fit some brass propellers with the correct profile and size, does anybody know the correct diameter and type of props I should be using so that it's in scale with the model?

Thanks Matt

I put the Raboesch 40mm "D" type brass props on mine.  (not the "D Power" type)

the full scale size of the propeller is 162cm, scaled to 1:40 would be 40.5mm  40mm is close enough for me.  the "D" series also have the pointy missile shaped hub, and not the rounded tip hub

Hi.
I have prop shop props on mine,  solid  cast  and ballanced...ww2 pattern ..with the pointed hub..superb..... if you want true scale i would go for prop shop every time...just my personal opinion...
Regards sub.
