angling technics standard b/b
« on: December 18, 2016, 09:14:36 pm »

hi everyone
iv a standard bait boat that had the left bilge pump go down, so im replacing both the left and right.ive removed both the old units but a little puzzled by what to use to bond these back into the hull as these are well and truly stuck usually,
it will obviously have to be strong and waterproof.
thanks all :-))

Sicaflex is perfectly fine for holding the motors in And also Tiger seal......If both products are used in marine applications then believe you me they are fine for holding motors in a Carp Boat....lord knows what they have used to hold the motors in...Why not contact Angling technics and ask them....BEST of luck with that one !!!!!!!!!!!
Make sure that you do roughen up the surface of the pumps so the sealent as somewhere to grab on to.

NEVER had one come back with the products I use.......bonded one in on my own boat 8years ago and it is still in use today and all I used was Sticks like XXXXXXXXX..........

I Use Tiger seal to hold body kits on cars etc.

thanks mate

I don't doubt your suggestion at all iv just been looking at the sika 291i marine adhesive range its not expensive and sounds like it will do the job.
as for angling tech s? I wouldn't waste my time I attempted to speak to them a couple of years ago to buy spares !
needless to say I found them elsewhere.
anyway thanks for the advise
