LCT plans/drawings
« on: May 23, 2016, 08:58:42 am »

Hi all. I have a 1/16th scale Heng Long Sherman tank sitting in the garage, still in its box. For my next project I would like to make a lct, at the same scale. I must confess that I do not yet know a great deal about these vessels. I thought it would make an interesting combination, and that I would be able to make it using all of the spare materials, and electrics  that I have accumulated over the last few years. Does any one know where I can obtain any sort of plans or drawings please? Due to my wife's early retirement this will have to be scratch built, not a lot of money in the modelling pot now <:(
Thank you for looking.
Regards
Phil

I've got a couple of plans for landing craft that I could e-mail to you.  If you're interested PM me!

I can help with funds if you're interested in selling the Type IX? Hope you are well, I've just ordered WTC for the S class so should have it running soon

A Sherman should just about fit in an LCM - they were occasionally used thus. This would be a much more manageable size than any of the LCTs where, also, one tank would look a bit lost.

Model Boats have a plan (MM1288) for an LCM, or you could just scale up from one of the plastic kits that are available.
