Awesome build Guy.  Well done to the staff of DFDS and Lego.   :-))
I doubt if you will be able to get that into the Black Park car park for next Sundays Regatta.

Interesting build Guy, was it a deliberate choice to make parts of the hull deliberately 'over jagged'?
I.e. the Logo, the Maltese cross, is much 'smoother' the the funnel or especially the bow....

If that is going to be driven on British roads, I hope you glued all the bricks together, or it will be 1 million plus seperate bricks if it comes via Lincolnshires roads.  {-)

Majority of blocks were made by Dfds staff, it was part of their 150 years celebration,  they made giant blocks out of standard lego  bricks, we then build the ship from these bigger blocks hence the jagged appearance....the bigger block is 4 times bigger than a classic 8 stud brick...

The cross and logos had to be made in smaller bricks to fit the branding guidelines as they're registered marks...

The ship is unglued with only a few structural bits bonded... And it will tour Europe and Dfds locations by truck, it will be in Blythe soon for the tall ships event and of course it will be in Dover at some point

For more details on it and where it will be look at the Facebook pages, it also shows how the ship came together and all the rules you have to comply with to get a Guinness world record

Is the info available anywhere else?

I don't partake of Facebook (or Twitter for that matter), I find they are overcrowded with moronic selfie taking youngsters who post gibberish.  :((

I think that's probably what our parents and adults thought of us when we were young teenagers, lol.
