Fair play to the Seller if they've given a full refund for such extensive damage , but personally I tend to agree with BFMSP in that I consider the packaging to be quite inadequate because a mere layer of bubble wrap will not prevent a kilo or more of a model boat from rattling around inside a cardboard box, no matter how stout that may be. I have posted many balsa built model aircraft of varying sizes and weights and they have all reached their destination undamaged by using readily available DIY materials such as polystyrene foam/cardboard/canned foam to make protective ''cradles'' around the item and to restrain it in the box.
However none of us can do anything about damage to the outer container by bad handling, but that can be proven against the carrier and claimed for.

I agree, but I also agree with Plague, some people are bit clueless when it comes to packaging. I would guess that the sender is somewhat wiser, as well as out of pocket, now.

Truly tragic, but the damage is done and now I am hoping, Martin, that you elect to restore her to her former glory! I for one would diligently follow your progress.

As said, that is a real shame, particularly as you built it.
