Calling for help from Norway.
« on: October 02, 2016, 03:27:08 pm »

Hello All,

Can anyone on the Norwegian front help with a possible source of plans for the late 19th century minelayers Tyr, Gor, Vidar, Brage, Nor, Vale and Uller.
They were originally built as Rendel type gunboats in the second half of the century (not as minelayers as I originally thought), converted to minelayers just before WW1, captured and re-used by the Germans in 1940, returned to Norway in 1945 eventually de-comissioned in the late 1940's. A working life of more than 60 years.
There are a number of photos I can work from but if there's a possible museum/collection/source of plans that anyone knows about???

Many thanks

TonyH
