Mixers
« on: November 20, 2016, 07:14:59 pm »

Hello
i am starting the Tsekoa 2, model slipway kit,, i going to use the motors separately and looking at 2 ESCs, last time i did a twin prop had servo operated tank speed controllers,

basically i have looked at 2 escs but what do mixer modules add to this ?? what do they do ?

any help, ideal setups would be appreciated

i am running 2 x 6v 4Ah batteries on 2.5:1 500 MFA motors

Thanks
Richy

They take the throttle output from the receiver, and, using the rudder channel, modify and redistribute the throttle signal to two ESCs in proportion to the amount of rudder in each direction.  Much like doing the job manually using two throttle channels, but much simpler for the operator.

ACTion P94 combined Esc/Mixer in one would do the job very nicely

Bunnings is an Australian hardware store chain owned by Wesfarmers. Bunnings has purchased the UK Homebase stores and will begin rebranding them very soon (or so we are led to believe) - complete with rear-wheel-steer trolleys which they probably steal from Wickes...

Not for a beef sausage with no bacon, mate. That's one piece of Aussie culture I hope we don't adopt. Wickes already seem to have a mandatory hot-dog van outside each of their stores at weekends, and the smell is truly gut-wrenching.

Bill
Made where? Bunnings? You didn't say.
