Hello,
I want to do a little planking in a small steam launch hull that I picked up, nothing to exciting just finishing, all freelance, but have no strip wood, where is best to get such. And, any suggestion on finishing.
Thanks in anticipation

Dolls house shops do sheets of various wood strips. Google `dolls house flooring`. Pete

Macdonalds or KFC, or any one who does hot drinks, and after purchasing a drink or meal, but I find you need at least 10 wooden stirrer with each drink

I strip my own on a small table saw from bgger timber, or you can get a decent amount by stripping down wooden venetian blinds to the plank width you want, you may need to sand the finish off to glue properly, I managed to pick up a pair of 48" wide blinds for £4 at a boot fair recently, just got to sand the white finish off now and strip to my plank width.

I also got a fair amount stripping down a mahogany wardrobe front on the table saw.

Wooden window blinds sawn and sanded of to allow glue to stick is ideal

Hello , I'm striping my own for my model. Balsa planking it seems to be the best value way, rather then buying pre stiped bundels from wood supply merchants on the web
