Hello fellow 360 contributor!

My setup is nowhere near as impressive as yours but it gets the job done.
Not really too much of an active hobby for me though I've set the kit up and largely forgotten about it.

Hoping to get better results when it's relocated to the loft in a few weeks

Hello Fellow 360 Contributor  :-))

i was beta tester for Phil for 3 or so weeks and he and rob convinced me to contribute,  started off on windows vrs before rob advised on getting a pi and very kindly set it all up for me,
results i get from were it is as you can see from photo (white one),  i covered all of wales north west and east of England and into Scotland,  down to exeter, the wales side of Ireland and northern Ireland,  have to upload my splat but on one pcs in the shed,  i got them off eBay got them cheap aswell and does the job.  now phil has added rnli lifeboats to 360 just improving all the time

I am interested in this as well although I don't have anything like the equipment shown here and it is a casual interest  rather than a main hobby.

For those who don't know most marine and air traffic can be followed on websites which show real time locations, routes, identify the aircraft ship etc. They do not include most military. All that is free but you can pay & get much more.

There are many sites but the ones that I use are

Aircraft
https://www.flightradar24.com/52.58,1.72/7

Ships
https://www.vesselfinder.com/?gclid=CIrRwdyigbQCFePHtAodNUgA3Q

With vessel finder you can also look at what is in any port which is useful for identifying vessels. This link is for Great Yarmouth but you can set it for any port
https://www.vesselfinder.com/ports/GREAT-YARMOUTH-UNITED-KINGDOM-1958

For scanning I have the ubiquitous Yupiteru MVT-7100 which covers pretty well anything that you can think of and use a mobile aerial where necessary but is now out of date although I have not yet found a real problem.

As I said nothing like as impressive as what is here but good fun.

PS If anyone is thinking of buying a scanner make sure that it will cope with the new airband frequency splits. Channels were separated by 25khz steps but it is now 8.33khz and many older scanners (including mine) do not have that as a scanning interval.

Looking at the airliners crowd into Heathrow shows how well everything is choreographed. Interesting to see wher theyare all going and how many aircraft belong to the various companies. Lots of BAW and UAE liners.

What you see going in & out of Heathrow varies very much with the time of day. For example many east coast USA flights land early morning & depart a couple of hours later.

The choreography is wonderful. If you are near the end of the runway you can see the next 6 or so to land joining/ coming down the glide slope.

I have looked at 360radar but the website suggests as fee without specifying it & as I said I am a casual user. It would be nice to have military. The links that I posted here were for anybody who had not seen any of this before - not real hobbyists.
