Model figure
« on: May 14, 2017, 11:35:30 am »

Hi all,
I'm looking for a 12th scale figure (around 6"-7" high) with moveable arms, to steer my open steam launch. Any ideas where I might look?
Thanks
Derrick.

I have obtained some of the small poseable artists figures from the range (in the craft department), at 130mm they are a little short, but I reckon you could extend the legs a little to gain some height (they have springs running through) then suitable clothing and a face modelled and you would be away.
Alternatively look at some of the 3d printing sites, there should be poseable figures there that can be printed to the size you want.

Ebay.

Try looking for things like Dr who Figures   Or some other television theme figures.

Hi Derrick,

Just gone through the same problem and ended up with converting wrestlers from Poundland. Poseable to a point but rather wide on the shoulders!

Barbe have a 6"figure and look at dolls house figures.
Also check ebay.  Search for 6"action figures or look in McDonald's figures as they have done the ton tin range  with a nice Captain haddock. They also did Peter pan range as well

Derrick,
Have a look at this item on ebay   332217805725.
I have bought these two figures from this seller before and they are good quality.
They are seated though, perhaps at a steering wheel. They are 1/12 scale thereabouts
There are two for sale here the other one doesn't appear to be shown, you could enquire.
A bargain at this price, I paid much more!

1/12 scale, is the same as most dolls house articles and figures. If you search for dolls house figures, you should be spoiled for choice. ( and cost!)

Most dolls house figures are either proper dolls with fabric clothes or solid resin figures that usually need a re-paint.
