SHUTTLEWORTH show is back, in a different format.
12/13 july 2025.
Shuttleworth House
Biggleswade
Sg18 9dt
There is no rc flying on the flightline this year, but now in the field we use, there will be drone flying, rc tank regiment, rc cars and trucks and of course, rc boats on the lake.
Our normal IC demo is off this year, if if any fast electrics would like to demo, please contact myself.
This is a 2 day event, but clubs can display for a day as well.
If a club or individual would like to attend, please contact myself in the first instance. Camping is available at the campsite, again please contact myself first.

As I read it, there won't be ANY model flying there this year, not just no RC flying.

Apparently they say they have to keep the runway clear at all times because it's a listed emergency landing ground, or something like that anyway.

Not quite sure how they allow drone flying under those 'rules' though...................

if those are their rules, then thay hafe been made for a reason............SAFETY FOR ALL,
so there shouldn't be any need for an explanation other that that which has been given to Klunk.

Excellent news, Klunk, you know that Wicksteed Park MBC will support as we did last year. Brilliant location and had much fun at the last show at Shuttleworth. Hope to have some new models completed by then!

Just update, there us no flying airline, the drones are flying in the back field near the lake, and are racing drones.

Hi Pete,
Have you received anything further from Shuttleworth about the arrangements for the model boat element of their fete weekend at Old Warden on 12 & 13 July ?

I assume the plot will be the same as for the two model events held there last year. Gazebos erected near the lake behind the hangars and car parking in the field between the hangars and the lake.

Got a meeting this week. Set up like last year lakeside, but a lot going on in the same field now!! Carparking is what I need to talk to them about, as they are doing a display in the area we used last year. We might have use another way to the lake. Will post on here about it w.hen I know

Right, latest update, you can set up Friday all day, or Saturday. But vehicles MUST be removed from lakeside by 9.30 latest. Gates open at 8am (maybe earlier). Carparking is up near the house, about a 5 minute walk.
THERE IS NO CARPARKING NEAR THE LAKE.
PLEASE ALSO NOT, NO GENERATIRS ARE YO BE USED DUE TO FIRE HAZARD.
The main entrance by the cafe will be closed, so please follow the map attached

hI yes I KNOW ABOUT IT I want to be at both events as I have a Stag, so I may only be there one day with a display Ron Dean and if I vanish you will know where to find me Ron p s is there a entrance charge for clubs and traders ?

Hopefully, last update.
As above, all vehicles must be removed ftom site (lakeside) by 09.30. Public enters at 10am. Show gates open officially at8am, but are open earlier.

Many thanks for the update Pete. Those of us travelling to Old Warden from the north using the A1 will also have to contend with major road works at the Black Cat Roundabout. Apparently, there were lengthy delays experienced during the weekend just gone.
