Best way to setup Dual Everything to Flysky i-6
« on: June 19, 2017, 05:51:17 pm »

This is my first attempt at anything more than a single engine.   I have a Amati Riva Aquamarine 1/10 scale (Amazing Kit) and have outfitted it with the following:
2 Graupner Counter rotating motors
2 Graupner Navy 40RV ESC units
2 500mAh 5S 18.V LiPos
Flysky fs-i6 Transmitter
Single channel Rudder

I also have a M Tronics wTail mixer sitting n the side.

Would like to set it up with dual throttles, and tone down the curves for both engines until I get the hang of it.
Reading through the FLysky manual, I was able to set the Throttle curve (Ch3) way down but  cant figure out how to do the other motor.

If I am off base, or just crazy, let me know a better way.

I live on a lagoon, boat is complete, just need to get this dialed in.

Thank you

Hi Duffman

I would start with single throttle and mix channel 3 to the other channel.
As for separate tank steering look on you tube, you may find a post about it.
If you mix the rudder to your motor ESC's you can get the inner slowing down a bit and the outer increasing a bit.
This will give you a better turning circle.
The PT boats in WW2 used this because all the props where the same.

ok, I can use the physical mixer to bring both engines into CH3.  I have no idea how to mix, as this is all new to me.

And thanks, thus far!

Hi Duffman
On the IA6 menu
Right Icon
OK
Go down to mix
OK
Mix turn ON
Master CH 3
Slave CH 1 to 6(your other throttle channel)
Set your POS and NEG Mix to your requirements

Also another setup is V tail Channel Mix.

Have fun!!!!

The best is to bench setup with a few servos on the channels and have a play around.
The Skyfly and Turnigy IA6 are the same beast with different labels.
I am playing around with the sensors( temperature, RPM and voltage).
The ones on the transmitter page are incorrect as the connectors are the different, but, they do have ones with the correct servo type connectors.
