I Have yet to finish The "Maggie m"...then i have a deans marine "mv stolt" and a model slipway "coaster" ....i have not had any holidays away this year so i have a little savings. im now tempted to buy the new model slipway tug "Dutch Courage" as well as the new "mv fairwind" container vessel by deans marine ::) ...do any of you ever buy boats kits before you have finished or even started any that you allready have..?

My answer to this is that I am building up my "Retirement Fund", because when I get there I won't be able to afford new boat models so I need to collect a few projects together to keep me going.

I must have half a dozen partly done projects and one or two not even started ones!!

I think it's a good way to go, I tend to build in batches that way I sit down and do half a dozen servo mounts or whatever, also the boats go through the messy stages with smelly GRP work stinking the place out, then sawdust everywhere, then paint fumes etc etc, then you're done upsetting everyone for a long while until you start the next batch. In the photo below, 6 out of the 9 are done now, the 3 remaining hulls form part of the 6 models on/under the bench at the moment. Keep clicking "next" to see the results so far.

Someone on another forum has the motto "He who dies with the most toys, wins"
This means that it is vital that we all have overlapping projects.
