hi all im new

hi all in james i have two boats a cen jetski nitro and a gt400 my gt400 is my best boat iv put a e-flite 400 brushless and 11.1 lipo with a 30A esc its ok but it hops and jumps across the water at about 2ft at a time iv only just got the lipo's so i dont know what its like with them in yet but it was like a frog with 7.2 buggy pack in so im hoping its faster not iv move all the batterys to the front of my boat here some pics of when i was running with 2 7.2 pack and a 70A esc

hi all iv just put 11.1v lipo im this its doing around 2ft leeps out of the water any one got any ideas how i can keep this in the water i tryed moving the batterys to the front but it done a dive under the water so now after a new esc and resever im looking at new ways of trying to keep it in the water

Hi James
It looks as though your battery packs are too far forward.  Move them right back and check the centre of gravity of the boat.
You can do this by balancing the hull on a round object (broom handle?) across the keel. The balance point should measure 1/4 to 1/3 of the overall length of the boat FROM THE TRANSOM.  This should make a reasonable starting point.
What type of drive are you using?  The angle of the shaft looks like it's a submerged drive?  If that's the case, the shaft angle may be too step.
Got and pics of the undersides and the prop area?

secondly, yes lipo's, those batteries are really too light for a marine application, try her with one 7.2v pack instead mounted as far back as you can get it.  you may have to seat it on some packing foam however to get it above the prop shaft
