Prompted by Stan's thread I though I'd have a good tidy and reorganize my workshop, where dose all that clutter come from ?, the upshot is I now have a spare shelf that would easily berth a 3 foot boat,  %) now I've been following Capt Podge's Huntsman log and always quite fancied them so I thought way not, after all I've got the time right  ;) so anyway I prefer the Precident 34"grp hull version of the Fairey Huntsman 31, My thoughts were Dodo droppings might be easier to find, well guess what I found one, It's actually the grp hulled kit that has been barley started and got it for a reasonable price, I'm not too bothered about the kit as it was the hull I was after, but the bits in the kit will probably save me buying some ply etc. all that's been done to the hull is the slot has been cut for the shaft, in the photo of it I'd say the slot looks to me to be too far forward but not too bothered as it can be repaired and I may decide to have two shafts, so now waiting for it to arrive.

I'm bored while waiting for deliveries so I thought I'd best do a tinventry. Variety is the spice of life  {-)

I think I can make it to Sunday  :-)

my workshop is half of the conservatory, the other half being full of junk, slowly i am sorting through the junk to expand the space for the workshop, since the junk is piled nearly 6 foot high, and the tip is shut, there is now a huge pile of rubbish collecting in the garden ready to be taken once the tip reopens, 3 or 4 trips at least

Not workshop related, but whilst letting the old eyes recover from the starboard ratlines fitting, went into said workshop and whilst collecting the magnifying glass and pin drills, brought out the Karcher.

Spent a good hour or so jet washing the back yard down, from the back door to the back gates, it's amazing how much grime accumulates over the winter months, need to create a level area for the bins in the future as where they are stored a small lake appears when it rains, there is a significant drop to the back gates and when they were replaced years ago, I had a consignment of concrete laid to provide a ramp off the back lane, its like a dam at one end now.

Just noticed Ian it's been two years since I finished my last boat build, but I'm often in my workshop with other projects like my railway and a couple of Wilesco steam plants I've rebuilt, I've even done a few paint by numbers pictures these things keep me busy in retirement but I've always kept my interest in boats, and as things are now with even more time to fill it seemed a good time for another boat project, I can't even see us having a holiday this year.

Hi All,
At the moment a SD14 and finishing a slipway 1:72 Puffer plus a stash of about10 Hulls in the loft for a rainy day and even thinking of the Trumpeter 1:200 Titanic as a Christmas present, opps sorry for the C word.

Vic Smeed's River Queen - https://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,64602.0.html - plus some long-needed maintenance on a couple of other models.  And a Deans Marine MGB waiting in the wings - looking forward to that, and will probably begin when I get to the painting stage on River Queen.  :-) :-)

Just waiting for the delivery of a Fairey Huntsman hull, should be early next week, so thinking about how I want to build her, single or twin shaft/ rudders, brushed or brushless, I don't know why though no matter what I decide it will no doubt change when it gets here.  %%

I have just about finished my Caldercraft Branneren which I acquired part made on EBay back in December. Also my Mountfleet Osprey which has had one outing to the Pond but still in need of final trimming of the ballast. I should have them both out in my "boatbath" , a 4 ft x 2ft x 1ft hard plastic plaster's bath, over the Easter weekend.

Next comes a check over of my other five boats and charge the batteries, followed by a tidy up in the workshop ready for the arrival of my Mountfleet Sealight, recently ordered.

Sorry, should read "plasterer's" bath. Sits in the garden by the boatshed and is fed from the water butt.
