For those people who think conditions at Llanberis might be too much for a Mayhem weekend - a few photos from today.

 O0  Woderful photos Druid, my wife and I spend time up at that end of Wales every year, ( wer'e from the Rhondda ) next year I hope tp bring my puffer for a dip.

You may, or may not, be aware that Nessie has not been spotted lately in her home territory.  I wonder whether she has decided to pop down to your neck of the woods  ::) ::)

Your boat's in the first piccie, top right blob on the river....

My much reworked Southampton is the teeny little blob bottom left on the river.....

Mind you, in the first piccie you're about to be hit by an enormous practice golf ball on a stick! :)

It is a Saito " Chiba Star" built by clubmate Dave Peters and powered with a steam engine ( so the smoke from the funnel is genuine) . First sail today and performed superbly.

If your boat gets stuck Ghost you will be able to paddle in and get it YOURSELF as it is only 24ins deep

by the way, what time to you guys get going at lyn padarn?  early starters or do you start late in the morning?  from what I recall, (midnight trip prior to epic) is the lake upstream from the pump-storage development or down stream?

We have been up the river at the end of the lake and are returning back to the slipway.Ghost we get there around 9am meet you in pete's eats for brekkie will be there around 8am
