The people I used to sail with out of Pwllheli Sailing Club owned the cottage by the bridge. Jerry and Olive Haggas. I caught my first salmon fishing from their back garden in the Erch. 6” par. Felt like a shark!
I later did two trips on Blue Funnel ships through most of the major ports of the Great Lakes. Too cold in winter for me. I’m stuck in Canberra at the moment due to Covid-19. We have a house just outside Caernarfon which is let out. We live on a narrowboat travelling the UK canals. In UK winter we live in Australia with our children who both emigrated here.

Jerry.

Well after a little leak in my "oiler", tightening all the pipes and quick fix from the local brass fitter I finally got my boat in the water (all be it my pool) to do a test.
Have to rework the throttle as reverse is weak and not getting full power I think the little Clyde can do.

But - very happy , and thanks for all the encouragement.
Hope to hit the pond this week before the it ices up - hahaha.
Love my country Canada, just gets cold too early.

I am not sure where I posted my first voyage on the pond with "Cariad"
Got my MSM Clyde working great no more leaks.

The bow might be a little heavy and I am working on adding a little ballast where I need it.
But great fun "sailing" albeit, in 1:12 scale

If it’s possible, moving a weight from forward to aft is most effective without changing freeboard.

Congrats Derek --  your Borkum moves out you did a terrific job all around. The Clyde seems very powerful and things look great, including all your add-ons in the boat. I am looking forward to working with you on new projects!
