I am really getting fed up of using superlatives to describe your work, but "I ain't got no choice!"
Magnificent...
Footski honestly mate I'm trying my best and what you don't see is all of the bits that go in the bin
It's another piece of craftsmanship - great work Mark
Regards,
Ray.
Thanks Ray hope you're ok fella?
So I tried to load these pics last week but Mayhem was down - which is a great opportunity for me to say that we all need to donate to keep this lovely forum going
I won't go into loads of words but I've started the gudgeons which I thought would be easy but as per usual I was proven wrong. However with just a rough fit the rudder is going ok
I silver solder these parts as I did the pintles

The 3 gudgeons

The monograph says that the gudgeons must be recessed into the stern post so I had to cut 3 slots

Very very roughly fitted just to see how they look but not yet finished by a long way

I won't lie - when the rudder fitted I was well chuffed

A view of the rudder from the poop deck

There is so much still to do such as reducing the gap between the rudder and stern post and getting the gudgeons to fit properly - but we are on our way.
Thanks so much for all of you comments
Mark
