A few months ago I built their waddling tugboat.  Nowhere near as complicated as that locomotive, but a bit of a challenge.  Very impressed with the precise, tight fit of one part into another.  Unfortunately the winding mechanism near the top broke due to a flaw in the plywood after 2 weeks.  Oh well, fun while it lasted.  :-))

Hi I have a  'Marble machine' waiting consruction, I only put it off as I wish to motorize it rather than turn a handle.
Incidently you do not alway have to pay full price as some ebay sellers have them on sale with 'make an offer' and are usually happy with 10% off asking price.
Regards

Hi Ken, I've never seen these kits/puzzles before (apart from kids Dinosaurs), so I looked them up on line, quite a range of models, they look pleasingly complicated, I quite fancy doing the Stagecoach, we'll see , look forward to the finished Loco.

Hi,  I think the engineering of these models is first class, I've built two of these models, the Grand Prix car and Dream Cabriolet, their customer service is superb, having requested if the bands were available in the UK they sent me a packet free of charge!
Looking forward to seeing this one through to the end.

I built their Hurdy Gurdy last year (or maybe the year before) and it was great fun to put together - everything fitted so well and the instructions were very clear. I haven't strung it and tried to play it yet, but will do so one day. It is on display as an ornament in our lounge at the moment.

I noticed they do a level crossing as well, any idea if it fits your train?

The Amber box looks like it might make a nice present for your other half - as long as you make it.

With lessons learned on the fire engine I decided to revisit this.
