My late fathers model of the Amerigo Vespucci.
Photo was taken by him shortly before his death last year.

My late great grandfathers boat we used to sail together. Hasent be sailed since he died 10 years ago.
Hoping to take it out soon. Its really old. I cant remember if he made in in 1992 or 1982?
It's a billings boat kit. Its twin prop and runs on a 6v sealed battery, the radio gear runs on crystals.
..... huge sentimental value.

My Deans "Wacht am Rhein"
I started the build at the start of Lockdown, she took 18 month to finish and was a joy to build, as you can see she look great on the water.

A recent ebay purchase, cleaned, straightened out, a few parts made and kitted out.
First sailing was good, bit more detailing to do but very pleased. First boat in 20 odd years. - David Trelfer

Hi Martin,
Some photo`s of my Tamar Lifeboat that won First in the kit class at Haydock Park 2015.
It has a Model Boats magazine on the dashboard,

" So it is a model of a real Tamar Lifeboat with an article in Model Boats magazine
of how to build a model of a Tamar Lifeboat."

                      Regards,
                       Bryan.

As I was looking through my archives, I thought about asking if the attached photograph would be good enough for photograph of the month posting.

Photo 1 is a repeat of what was posted in the forum thread
Photo 2 is a higher resolution photograph of the tug after it was converted to electric and the paddle box vents were modified to fan pattern.
Photos 3, 4, 5 and 6 are just other selected from the archive.
Photo 6 shows the wash produced by the paddle tug.
Thanks,

June 2022

I just enjoyed a kind of scale realism on the water of my Snowberry moored at buoys as seen below.
It was calm ,sometime windy on the water today and a pair of mooring buoys did a nice job as expected even under windy time. :-))
Using these buoys,I could enjoy model boating only seeing the ship, while I take a rest on a chair with a cup of tea.
I think it is much interesting to moor the ships not in operation rather than to get them on the boat cradle on the land. %%
Therefore, I intend to carry them whenever I go for model boating from now on.!! :-))
Boating site and test of mooring for today are as follows;

I was impressed with two dogs together with a young couple of boaters and the dogs were sitting on the boats very seriously beside their masters!! It was a happy day today as usual.!! :-))   -  Backerther

September 2022

Hi Martin,

I don't know if the 'shocking' moment of capsizing is worth for a photo of the month.

I was standing bare foot on a stone wall out in sea when my wife turned 'the other right'.
No chance to be there in time so as a photo freak I continued taking shots.

There was only one breaking wave, usually save I didn't have but 'the other right' in calculation....

So my wife doesn't touch a remote control anymore since then .... and when I showed the image
in a German forum, many wanted to meet and congratulate her, for the moment, which doesn't come on photo so often.

Nevertheless, we're still married and because the North Sea test was too early (the deck wasn't fully sealed),
I lost just the controller after two times capsizing.

The boat (my first fully self built one), is still running as you can see on the night photos.

Best regards,
 Joerg

Here is my latest purchase, Atlantic challenger that was brushless but I've made it direct drive with much bigger and better electrics,
done lots of tidying up as it was pretty rough.. here they are together.
