Quarantined tanker on the Firth of Clyde
« on: March 30, 2021, 07:32:58 pm »

So now we have an oil tanker  quarantined at anchor on the Firth of Clyde. Left South America Mar 1  arrived here Mar 26 before 2 crew members  tested positive for Covid. So much for 14 day incubation. The 18 man crew is to be  taken to an hotel the ship sanitised and a new crew brought in.

You can still test positive up to 90 days after you’ve contracted the virus. So they could be carriers or they had in their original start destination so they will still indicate positive until end of May.
We are being tested with lateral flow tests at work and they say that the lateral flow tests will give false indications if you’ve had the virus in the last 90 days and you would need to go for a full Covid test distinguish a real infection from a false one.

Aye so 2 possibly asymptomatic carriers  yet after 26 days none of the other 16 crew have a problem.
