Hi ya Brian,

Long time no see - model is coming along nice - nice to see you making some progress with it. I will have to pop over to Tynemouth soon and catch up with you, (owld chin wag). I like the print in big capitals chief - easier on the eye.

What motors are you going to put in this model? As the old Ford Granada car seat motors are difficult to get nowadays

heres the 8th set of pics on the build, theres more fittings and deck housing now fitted with more handrails and stanchions and all decks have been individually planked and 6 layers if satin laquer (clear) and rubbed down to make a smooth finish, its starting to take shape now.

Staggering! I hope that you realize how lucky you are. If I tried to build one of my boats on the dining table, my wife would use my Xacto knife on my body parts. This is a wonderful piece of work. In credible patience. I do have to ask, how do you plan to move her about?

heres the 10th set of my Mauretania build, most of the superstructure is now complete and all lifeboats are now in place, funnels and guide ropes are fitted and all stanchions and handrails now completed and the model is starting to look like the real thing. theres now over 7000 individual deck planks fitted on her five decks which sets the model off perfect.
