F14 Navy transmitter two twin stick for submarine
« on: May 21, 2021, 01:59:27 pm »

Hi guys, I am trying to sort out the channel numbers for the twin sticks arrangement for a friends submarine control.
Eg:- should the left twin work 1 motor each and the right stick work the rudder and diving vane, and the tank fill
Worked by a slide switch. I don’t know anything about what should work by what stick or switch on this control unit.
The sub should sink either static,or dynamic diving.

John,First, a little more information about the sub would help. Does it have bow and stern planes? are they to be controlled independently? As for the F-14 set up, you can do it any way one desires. One would not have to use one of the throttle sticks for throttle, that could be done on the right hand gimbal, which if I remember correctly can have a detent spring added to it to add the ratchet effect.assuming that the owner does want to use one of the left hand throttles, then yes, the right hand gimbal can be used for rudder and dive planes, while a slider is used for dive tank/submerge.Long wined, but I hope it helps.

Hi Akira yes it has bow and stern diving planes.I think the diving planes work together. I have not got the front section
With diving planes but the servo for that is fed from the main body via a jack plug.
It uses a 6 channel Rx.And a pump control unit. What should be in channels 1 to 6

Thanks for looking

With the F14 Navy . You can set it up as you want. 10 people can give 10 diffrent answers . None are wrong. Some like the throttle on the left some on the right.
What i would recommend is the rear planes and rudder are on the right hand cross gimble.
The throttle ideal wants to be on a rachet so you can set the speed and leave it.
Idealy you want to know if the front and rear planes are linked and how they work.
