Some time ago I came across a model kit of a fire boat, think it was a Thames based fire boat. The water cannons were mounted on a tubular mast, thats about the clue I can recall. I can not find it anywhere now, does anyone know what I am burbling on about? If so please point me in the right direction.

None of London's fireboats over the centuries have had masts, because they must be able to pass under all of the many bridges at the highest tides.

Elswhere high mounted monitors are very common, some even have cherrypicker platforms on them.

MMI did a free plan of a fire boat that had a turntable fire monitor, I only gave the mag away last week.

Thank you all. The kit I was looking for is the Avenger/Hiberia produced (then) by Dave Metcalf and now being sold by Tony Green. It was built for the Thames estuary. Remembered it just after I posted. Grey cells are getting more than a bit slugish.
