Hello from Victoria, BC, Canada.
Recently retired and have not built a model in close to 40 years. Built a few small 12-20 foot wooden boats which is certainly not a financially sound hobby. Decided it would be much cheaper to build model boats instead and have just purchased the Amati Bismarck to give it a go. Found this forum through a link somewhere to Martin builds Bismarck. That thread had 4 pages of great pictures of Martins build then stops and says you need to be registered to see more. Now that I am registered there are still just 4 pages and there is a lock symbol on the thread. Is there more to the thread and if so is there a way of accessing it?
Few other questions if I may.
Suggestions for glue types and paint choices - same brands for brushing vs spraying? This is a big model so assume these paints also come in something bigger than the little 17 ml Testors bottles. Never used an airbrush before but never too old to learn. Suggestions for a good airbrush to start out? Have not had a good look yet but are likely good threads on the various aspects of wooden boat modelling.
