Via email to Mayhem.....

Hello Martin sorry mine English is not so god but I'm trying. Mine name is Per Larsson and lives in örnsköldsvik Sweden. I did saw your e-mail in a site whit fotos of a ww2 landingship, and my interest of that ship was wakened. SO I am wondering if you could help me . With blueprints or hints where I can get my hands on some, or set me in contact with some who can. Once in a time my kids and me played with rc cars and boats all electric. That is some years ago and we might take that up again.

This a way becourse I haven't find anything on I,net ,So iam greathful  for some hints and tips.Of course that will scratch built models with radiocontrol possebillety.

HOPE YOU HAVE A NICE DAY,
 PER.

Longshanks' reference will take you to plans of landing craft. If you want plans of the larger landing ships, try:

  www.floatingdrydock.com

where you'll find plans for the LSD, LSM, and LST.

Hello there Per,

The French Defense Ministry website have builders drawings for the US 100m LST (Landing Ship Tank) 1943 type.
These are downloadable and free!

Try www.servicehistorique.sga.defense.gouv.fr, look for ships plans and you will find LST2 1943.

There are plenty of US websites for specific ships with loads of photos for as much detail work as you want to put in to your model.

Best of Luck

Tony

This may be too late to be of help, but my Dad served on an Attack Transport of the USN during the second World War. APA ships were armed with a variety of anti-aircraft guns as well as 5 inch cannon. They carried several types of landing craft for troop transport. My Dad's ship had a long service life as it took part in the Normandie Invasion , and continued in service past the Cuban Missille Crisis.
