Mac's mouldings - Are they still around
« on: November 03, 2007, 11:48:11 am »

Hello all.

Just wondering if anyone knows if Mac's mouldings is still in business? I've seen a picture of their ships, which looks great, but the web site is dead and the e-mail is no longer working.

Have tried PM'ing MacMouldings on this site and no response.

Is all OK with them?

Thanks

Steve

I couldn't get access to the site from the Mayhem Trader's Directory page (which I maintain!) but it seems OK via Google: http://www.macsmouldings.co.uk/

Not sure why the Mayhem hotlink doesn't work - has anybody else tried it?

I am sending Martin an update to the Directory in the next few days and will get it sorted.

Colin,

The problem with the TDP for Mac's Mouldings is that the actual link reads .......co.Ok not ......co.Uk

Mac's Mouldings going strong! I have recently bought items from them and had a conversation with Martin at Blackpool.

The link on the Traders site does show .CO.UK , but as Barrie says when you click on it , it changes to .co.ok ???

Interesting. I use MS Word to produce the orignal document which Martin converts for the Website. Last time round I just amended the entry, I'll delete and repaste the whole address this time.

Just goes to show that a little typo error can cause a lot of damage to a guy's business.

Not sure about that - It's been like that for around three months and this is the first time it seems to have been noticed.

What I'm trying to say colin is , that when a little mistake like that on a forum like that coupled to when people can't reach you (immediately) the word goes round very quickly from people who think you've gone under, disappeared, died or otherwise fell of the planet, ya kna what a mean like  O0

Sorry about this folks.

1-2-3, who seem to be hosting the site, are rejecting seaches by Opera web browser for some reason.

Works fine in that devils own sludge pile called Internet Explorer, although I'm off to wash my hands how I've had to use it.

Most odd.

Now the problem is that I'm going to have to buy lots of stuff.... good for Macs mouldings - sadly not so good when Mrs Steve finds out...

Colin,

Martin should be able to go into the page and edit the hyperlink - what you see is correct - its what the computer sees that is incorrect.

Yes he can, but I have a number of other updates and depending on the circumstances Martin may simply do a delete and replace of the whole Directory. It's a voluntary thing so we don't like to spend any more time than necesssary on it and I have the master file.
