Well gents, made the engine and cockpit cover, there is some fine detailing required on the cockpit, which I’ll do after it primed and top coat painted.

Rear aero foil made and painted, just got to await decal from the USA.

The wing was made from 20thou plaster card and the foils from balsa wood, they are currently temp fitted.

The turn fin has been made using and old car number plate Perspex.

Hi Dave, beautiful work, really starting to come alive with the start of the paint job.  And that motor looks like a bit of an animal...

Thanks Ray, your reply is very much appreciated  :-))

I’ve also finished off installation of ESC, water cooling lines, battery holder, radios box and the Flexi shaft, just need to add the shaft saver and figure out how too have servo control on the wing. ( With out it being seen)

Hi Dave,  Just caught up with this build, couldn't believe it was your build at first cos it ain't Grey  %%  seriously though super build from the start and of course the high standard we have come to expect from you, that should stir up Setley Pond,  hope all goes well with the OP.

Hi Joe,

After doing Roosevelt I need to have time for South Coast Modellers , so thought I go back to my roots of IC racing boats, but used brushless motor.

I got in the scale due to having to wait 😡😡😡😡 when the IC motor Stopped in the middle of the lake.

Are you still building boats ?.

Hi Dave, the last boat I built was my Clyde Puffer, storage is the old problem, sold off all my large greys except HMS Brocklesby couldn't part with her, still got the Huntsman, two springers, the Deva the Bella and the Puffer, It's always been about the build for me I actually find sailing them rather boring with the exception of the Bella yacht that is quite relaxing, as I don't get to the pond that often and my shelves full I'm having an extended break from marine modelling, still good following you guys though.

As Joe has said, it is a brilliant paint job.
and as I have the same problem as Joe, I have given a few boats away at Mayhem every year....but a few I have kept....(a few hidden under the beds in the spare rooms.......or so I thought.....oppps)

Been doing some work on finishing of the decals and paint work.

Hope in the next few weeks to get it on the water for test runs and to find out if I’ve got the correct setups.

Wow...  Looks and sounds impressive to me..!

I know very little / nothing about Hydros... But does it sound like it would handle a larger prop..?

Nice flat water for her too..!   :-))
