Good news the Yamato's deck is fully fixed to the hull and has bonded great after the coating of the hull which has had two coats I'm rubbing it smooth with grade 600 sandpaper a little bit of filling is needed so more sanding to be done.

Today is the 6th May 2023, over the past week since last posting I have been smoothing the hull and using putty to fill the gaps that the primer has found its been a long jog smoothing the hull by hand but I fine you get a better job done (also it files down your hand nails ) :-))  I have filled the bow out abit  after great reviews by my followers I think it looks alot better,I'm on my 2nd tin of primer just on the hull just a little bit more to do on the bow then one more coat of primer, then start to fit the rudder  and secondary rudder and also the screw shafts 4 in all.

The last lot of photos was putting on the copper wire all around the ship and getting the potholes marked Out and these photos are much the same but found out buy not rushing things I was not happy with the line out of the holes so have re-filled with putty and left to dry.

As always very interesting. With the greatest respect I would counsel the bottom on the bulbous bow needs to be more curved upwards as it will look a lot better.

keep up the good work

Cheers

I went back through the building manual about the shape of the bow and I'm sure by looking at it I did follow the shape as per the manual I put my hands up if it looks bit of, but to me it looks fine as its my first build with wood im happy with the build yes I have made errors but who hasn't have posted photos of the manual pages that I followed.
But please Im so happy with all the comments that I get  will keep on improving  :-)) :-)) :-)    wallace

May I suggest you Google Yamato 1/10 scale model. There is one in Japan which may give you some excellent reference pictures. Also there is an excellent 3-d book by Kagero available which has superb views of the whole ship.

Cheers
