Figures (as in Crew) to Put on your Models
« on: July 08, 2025, 03:18:17 pm »

Hello Shippers

For those of you that use them, where do you source fugures of men in naval uniform to put on your models, and how much do you pay for them, painted or unpainted ?

I am primiary looking at suppliers in the Uk - I have looked at Mountfleet but their range is quite limited and they are very expensive, Cornwall boats just do historic character that are unpainted.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

Hi Pat,

I have been looking at figures on the 3djson website. They have an EBay store with a selection of various navies, crews, and scales. I cannot comment on the quality or service as I have not purchased anything from this vendor. Anyhow, it might be worth a look.

Cheers, Ray

Also, Jäger Hobby has some good looking figures in various scales. Some are not specifically navy crewmen, but could be modified and painted to look like crew as they actually would appear while on watch (eg overalls vs dungaree uniform, tee-shirt vs boiler shirt, etc.). Hope you find what you’re looking for.

Cheers, Ray
