Malcom Darch model of Nelson's HMS Agamemnon
« on: June 05, 2023, 01:20:48 pm »

Some of you will be familiar with the name of Malcolm Darch and his square rigger builds, some of which have been featured in Model Boats magazine.

His latest commission is HMS Agamemnon during the period she was commanded by Captain Horatio Nelson and the author Julian Stockwin has featured it on his website:

It seems a bit of a shame that this incredible model is destined for a private collection and is presumably unlikely to be on public display.

Not my area of interest, but wow, what a fantastic model. As you say Colin, pity it won't be seen publically, but without it being a private commission it wouldn't have been built otherwise.

The mind boggles at how much it cost the buyer!
