Cat ladder rungs

Cheers mate  :-))

Akira:
I use model railroad hand irons.

John W E:
hi there

Two versions of the wire rung steps; the first is of bent wire over a pair of pliers and the wire I use comes from a 5 amp flat twin and earth electrical cable.   I strip out the earth section of the copper wire, stretch the wire between a vice and a pair of pliers so it becomes nice and straight and use that.   This is the version which is on the funnel of the warship picture.

The next version is the one you are thinking of, using staples and that is on the front of the bridge and bridge wings.

The only thing you have to remember is good coating of paint - as sometimes they can go rusty and it shows.  Although it could be classed as weathering when it goes rusty.
