Well that was an unexpected afternoon spent at Jimmy's with my mum waiting for my dad to have emergency surgery for appendicitis.
Thankfully he's out of surgery, back on the ward and insisted I take a photo of him and put it on here!

That wiring is not as neat as he does in his boats.  {-)

All the best Stan, I had mine removed 65 years ago and the repair has lasted well.....  It was probably horse glue in those days.

As another patient with a now missing appendix I can say that my repair has done well for 35 years just leaving a large scar that unfortunately grew with me! I believe I was one of the youngest in the UK when I had what was left mine removed and unfortunately mentally scarred by my experience of hospital and doctors due to the incompetence of the surgeon who failed to believe the village doctor (who remembers those!).
Get well soon Stan, keep away from all those sealed goodies that hospitals hide around the place :}

]One mended dad thanks to the marvellous staff at St James. The staff there are absolutely amazing.Still need to take things easy for a while. No words can describe the pain. Pat and I would to thank to all comments may be awhile  before I get back in the boat yard.
