Depends slightly if its been heavily discharged as a one off fairly recently, in which case you might be able to revive it by pushing enough voltage in to the get the smart charger to detect it. Either with a dumb charger, another battery (inc your cars starter battery), or a smart charger with a 'from flat' function.


However if its been in a shed for 5 years, weight it in for scrap and buy a new one I think! Especially if its a smaller/cheaper one.
