Solent props ?
« on: April 05, 2024, 01:11:00 pm »

Just about to order a Solent hull and cabin from Mountfleet, I have been watching the for sale hoping one would turn up  ok2 but not yet so direct it has to be.
I'm going brushed as I already have a good bit in the way of electronics. Maybe going to give belt drive a go on this so looking for some advice on prop size.Keeping the thing in scale speed so using belts for low end torque.Any pointers would be very welcome.Newbie to 1/12 scale

if I am not mistaken the Solent has tunnels, so you are limited to largest props. I found that it is better to start with a prop that looks a bit too small for the job. My opinion, nemesis

Yes ! was hoping some one had the same hull ( mountfleet) so I could source the props ECT ready for the hull arriving. I will have the hull on order in the next week or so but is 4 weeks lead time on it.
