Hull all re-done and to me looking greats onto the rudder and other parts, painting the lower part of the hull both sides took 3 x tins of paint (copper) I always hand paint my model and enjoy doing it that way hope you are liking the model so far. :-)) :-))

She coming along nicely, this build reminds me of when I built HMS Fly. Enjoyed the building but it took me four years to get back to doing the rigging hated it. Hats off to you if you enjoy that part of your build
Hope when you get to that part it more fun {-)

Its looking very good and you are to be congratulated. It may just be the camera but the upper deck 5 amidships gun ports seem to be higher than those fore and aft.

Keep up the excellent work!

Cheers

Geoff...the real Victory in dock appears to show these 5 ports on the top level as elevated above the gun ports to aft & fwd  O0

From the drawings in Conway's Anatomy of the ship the top of the ports are in line with the rest of thos on the upper deck. The ports are however shallower so the bottoms are higher than the rest on the decdk. Not sure why this would be the case as they have the same size of cannons mounted at them. May be to raise the bottom further from the water as they don't have port lids fitted.

Those 5 ports coincide with the open area of the ship's waist where the boats were carried on booms. I would think that Jim is right that they give a bit of extra freeboard as they cannot be sealed as with the other gunports.

Many thanks you all out there and to all your great comments, still loving the build,  But this is the first kit that I have been building that carries NO instructions on the build its all by the big sheets of the build and building the masts is really testing me, but I wont give in to the end. :-)) :-)) :-))
